Ausbildung in Germany: What Young Cameroonians Should Know

Back to News

Ausbildung is one of the most practical routes to Germany for a young person without a university degree, and also one of the most misunderstood. This is a plain explanation of how it works.

What Ausbildung actually is

It is vocational training in the German dual system: you work in a company and attend a vocational school, usually for two to three and a half years. You are paid a training allowance while you learn, and you finish with a qualification recognized across Germany.

Typical fields

Nursing and care, hotel and restaurant work, logistics, retail, electrical and mechanical trades, and IT support are among the fields that recruit internationally. Availability changes year to year.

The German you need

Most employers and schools ask for B1 as a minimum, and B2 for care and nursing. This is the step people underestimate. Plan a realistic timeline: moving from zero to B1 takes consistent study over several months, not weeks.

What a serious application needs

Be careful with agents

No one can guarantee you a visa, and a legitimate employer does not ask you to pay for a training place. If someone promises a certain visa for a fee, treat it as a warning sign.

Where we fit in

We are a language and cultural training center. We prepare you for the exams at the level employers require, help you understand the documents, and point you to official information. We do not issue recognized certificates and we do not place you in jobs.

If Ausbildung is your goal, come and talk to us about which level to target and how long it will realistically take.
