Our tourism desk organizes guided trips around Limbe and the South West, for visitors, for German groups and for students who want to practise the language outside a classroom.
What we organize
- Mount Cameroon guided walks, from short lower-slope hikes to longer climbs with local guides.
- Limbe Botanic Garden, one of the oldest botanic gardens in Africa, with a heritage walk through its history.
- The colonial-era lighthouse and architecture walk in and around Limbe.
- Mangrove and coastal village trips, including the fishing communities along the shore.
- Waterfalls and crater lakes excursions as full-day trips.
- Limbe Wildlife Centre visits, often combined with the botanic garden.
Practical notes
- Trips run with a guide, and transport can be arranged through the center.
- Walking shoes, water, a hat and rain cover are worth bringing; the weather here changes quickly.
- Guiding is available in English, French or German, if you tell us in advance.
For language students
A German-language tour is one of the few chances to use the language for a whole day with a real purpose. Ask us when the next German-guided trip is planned.
Booking
Tell us your dates, group size and which trips interest you, by WhatsApp or through the contact form, and we will put together a plan and a price.
