Students often ask what a German course at the Limburg German Cultural Center actually looks like week by week. This guide explains the structure so you know what to expect before you register.
The four levels
We follow the CEFR levels used by the Goethe-Institut exams:
- A1: introducing yourself, numbers, family, shopping, simple everyday sentences.
- A2: daily routines, work, health, travel, past tense and short conversations.
- B1: opinions, plans, problems and solutions, longer texts and letters.
- B2: discussion and argument, formal writing, news and professional topics.
Every lesson covers four skills
Listening, reading, writing and speaking are trained in every unit, because the Goethe exams test all four separately. A student who only studies grammar usually passes reading and fails speaking.
Class modes
- Morning, evening and weekend groups at the center in Isokolo, Limbe.
- Online live classes you can follow from a phone or laptop, wherever you are.
Practice between classes
Every registered student gets an account on the student portal, with exercises for each unit and an AI practice tutor for writing, speaking and listening drills. The tutor gives instant feedback and an estimated score so you can see which skill still needs work. These estimates are practice feedback, not official exam results.
An honest word about certificates
We are a training center. We prepare you for the official A1 to B2 exams and we guide you through the process, but the recognized certificate is issued by the examining institution, not by us.
How to register
Fill in the registration form on the German Language page, or send us a WhatsApp message and we will tell you which level and which intake fits you. If you are unsure of your level, ask for a short placement conversation first.
