Online classes used to open in a separate meeting app, which was awkward on a phone. They now run inside the student portal itself, in your browser. Here is how to join and what you can do once you are in.
Joining a class
- Sign in to the student portal and open Classes.
- Your scheduled class appears with its time. The Join button becomes active 15 minutes before the start.
- Tap Join. You enter directly, with no app download and no meeting code.
You only see classes for your own level, plus any class open to all levels.
In the classroom
- You see and hear the teacher, including anything they share on screen.
- Raise hand tells the teacher you want to speak. They give you the microphone, and you tap to unmute.
- Chat is there for questions and for spellings.
- Save data turns off incoming video and keeps the audio, which helps a lot on a weak mobile connection.
Before your first class
- Use headphones if you have them. It removes echo for everyone.
- Allow microphone access when the browser asks. You stay muted until the teacher calls on you.
- Join a few minutes early so you can fix any permission prompt calmly.
If something goes wrong
If the video freezes, turn on Save data. If you are disconnected, open the class again from the Classes tab. If you cannot get in at all, send us a WhatsApp message and we will help you during the class.
Attendance is recorded automatically when you join, so there is nothing else to fill in.
